By virtue of his submission victory over Austin Aries in a six-man tag match in Edison, NJ on November 7th, as well as his Pick 6 rank, Colt Cabana has been granted an ROH World Title match. The match will take place at ROH’s Chicago show on December 5th. Click here to read ROH’s announcement of the match.
Roderick Strong and Tyler Black fought to a 20-minute draw this past Saturday in Mississauga, Ontario, thus retaining their Pick 6 rankings. Both men have Pick 6 matches coming up in Chicago.
Other notable updates to the Pick 6 standings: Claudio Castagnoli dropped out of the Pick 6 despite not losing a match, and Kevin Steen now holds the Number One spot by virtue of his victory this past weekend. Click here for a fully updated Pick 6 standings.
ROH on HDNet Executive Producer Jim Cornette will be on hand in Chicago. Cornette will appear for a free meet-and-greet before the show, and be on hand for the live event as well. Tickets are still available in ROH’s website. Also confirmed for Chicago is a tag team match between The Briscoes and the Dark City Fight Club.
ROH has reported the following injuries coming out of this past weekend’s shows in Detroit and Mississauga: Kevin Steen (knee), El Generico (hamstring), Kenny Omega (back), Austin Aries (back), and Katsuhiko Nakajima (ankle). Details on whether any of these men will have to miss any time will be announced as they become available.
Longtime West Coast standout Scott Lost has been confirmed for ROH’s Los Angeles debut at WrestleReunion (January 29th, 2010).
The following wrestlers have been confirmed for Final Battle weekend on December 18th and 19th: Kenny Omega, Tyler Black, The Young Bucks, Erick Stevens, Colt Cabana, Kenny King, and Rhett Titus. More names and match announcements to come next week.
