Writer-director Hue Rhodes only has a few short films to his credit, but his feature debut has one heck of a cast. Steve Buscemi, Sarah Silverman, Romany Malco, Peter Dinklage, Tim Blake Nelson, John Cho, Danny Trejo and Emmanuelle Chirqui, I mean damn. The movie doesn’t arrive until next February, but check out this trailer and let us know what you think.
After a run of bad luck, John (Steve Buscemi), a compulsive gambler, runs away from Las Vegas and toward a normal job and life. Taking a nondescript position in an auto insurance company in Albuquerque, he tries to get ahead in the straight world, amid the ever-present temptations of scratch-off lotto tickets.
Not sure how this one will turn out. It could be a combination of Picking Up the Pieces, Welcome to Collinwood, and 11:14 for all I know.
