Quentin Tarantino Picks His Favorite Movies of '09

Say what you will about Tarantino, but for this video store clerk-cum-filmmaker, he knows his movies. So when he talks about his favorite films, waving his hands around every which way, you know he’s either insane or he’s just a passionate movie lover. The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Quentin Tarantino and asked him about his favorite films of the year. As the video points out below, he’s yet to see Avatar, The Lovely Bones or Invictus. So he’s only included eight films.

Well, it is a varied list to be sure. I’m kind of surprised that Red Cliff didn’t make his list or The Hurt Locker, but maybe he hasn’t seen them. Had he not directed Inglourious Basterds and watched it from a movie fan perspective, I’m sure it would have made his top 8. Unless the film was directed by Oliver Stone and Stone totally reworked the script.
