10 Thoughts on RAW – 12.14.2009

Reviews, Shows, TV Shows

Welcome to “10 thoughts”.  Tonight is a 3 hour special so you get an extra five thoughts.  Lucky you.

  1. Dennis Miller’s monologue was really funny but it seemed to not go well with the crowd.  I wonder if they didn’t get it or just don’t like him.
  2. JeriShow totally deserved the Slammy for Tag Team of the Year.  I hope they take advantage of it as much as Miz and Morrison did at the beginning of this year.
  3. Sheamus won Breakthrough Superstar but has only been with the company about three months.  And he’s WWE champion.  (Last night’s TLC was awesome, by the way.)   Talk about meteoric rise.
  4. Dennis Miller told the Reverend Al Sharpton and Jeremy Piven to “suck it”.  Awesome.
  5. Kofi Kingston takes another loss at the hands of Legacy tonight.  I think Sheamus’ rise is at the expense of Kingston’s.
  6. John Cena stated that he won’t lose another match until he regains the WWE Championship and tonight is the beginning of his Road to Wrestlemania.  Why doesn’t he just invoke his rematch clause?  Do we seriously have to watch him win every match until Wrestlemania?
  7. MOTY winner was totally predictable but was the right call.  But why did HBK get the Slammy?  He didn’t even win the match.
  8. HBK calling out Undertaker for the next Wrestlemania was totally unexpected and totally awesome.  I doubt they could top WM 25’s match though.
  9. Vince McMahon calling out the crowd was great and totally appropriate as they seemed dead the whole night.
  10. How was Jesse Ventura not even nominated as Guest Host of the Year.  CONSPIRACY!
  11. I don’t know how to feel about the DX/JeriShow “rematch” but it was pretty funny.  Find a way to bring back Jericho…. NOW!  Where did Big Show go, anyway?
  12. I can’t help it, I’m a Yoshi Tatsu fan.
  13. I’m shocked Maria won Diva of the Year.  Pays to be hot.
  14. Any segment with Big Dick Johnson is a winner.  Tony Atlas’ laugh is great, too.
  15. Good main event match.  And really, Cena as Superstar of the Year is not a stretch.

Well, it looks like a long John Cena win streak ahead of us.  Any one of my faithful readers willing to keep a tally of how many?  Any bets on Cena winning the Royal Rumble?

See you next week kids.
