DirecTV Announces Hitman’s Return?

News

Much like the snafu with OnDemand ruining the ending to Bound For Glory, it appears that DirecTV has confirmed what we all thought. In the preview for the Raw that night, DirecTV has this to say;

“Shocking Guest Host Bret The Hitman Hart returns to confront Mr. McMahon.”

Of course, they could have their lines crossed, who knows.

What surprises me, is that no one has mentioned that this January 4th, stead-fast becoming quite the historic date in wrestling, is also the 10 year anniversary of another major historic night in wrestling.

The night that WCW started their massive down slide. With Hogan defeating Nash by nailing him with his finger, and the nWo reforming for the 27th time. Schiavone telling everyone that Mick Foley was going to win the world title on Raw, thus leading about 500,000 people away from Raw that very moment. And of course, just like I mentioned, the night Mick won the title. Sure, he won it a couple days prior, but that was the night it aired.

So, on the 10th year anniversary of one of the Top 3 nights in the Monday Night Wars history, history is made again. Dig it.

Of course, I wouldn’t be surprised if Bret’s inclusion is nothing more than to testify in court for Hornswoggle, by saying that Shawn Michaels is a doody head. Then Shawn starts fussing and saying “I’m always getting beat up and made fun of!”.
