2009 Pulse Wrestling Fantasy Draft: And the Winner is…

Final round voting results

IWCASPCWGAAGAFU: 4 votes (57.1%)
LAW: 3 votes (42.8%)

Despite having somewhat of a poor voting turnout for the final round of the 2009 Pulse Wrestling Fantasy Draft, your winner is none other than Big Andy Mac’s International World Class All Star Professional Championship Wrestling Global Alliance and Grappling Arts Federation Unlimited, better known as simply “IWCASPCWGAAGAFU”.

Honestly, I thought Big Andy Mac’s chances of winning the entire Draft were looking pretty good after he drafted the “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson as his first pick. Even though it seemed like Danielson was going to become the first ever IWCASPCWGAAGAFU World Champion upon first thought, Andy went with an underdog wrestler in Jimmy Jacobs.

Lost Art Wrestling Federation and Michael O’Mahony also deserve a round of applause for his efforts. Many readers most likely overlooked that LAW was second to last in the draft order. When you think about it, LAW certainly had a big feat to fight against by drawing one of the worst numbers. It was undeniably Mahony’s intelligence in choosing smart picks that brought him so far.

At this time, though, we must praise the champion of the 2009 Pulse Wrestling Fantasy Draft. Again, that man is none other than Big Andy Mac. Let’s take a quick look at the finalized roster of International World Class All Star Professional Championship Wrestling Global Alliance and Grappling Arts Federation Unlimited, shall we?

Before I take off, I want to thank all of the readers for checking out and voting in the 2009 Pulse Wrestling Fantasy Draft. Without you guys, there is no way that this project would not have been as big of a success as it was. Obviously, my thanks goes out to all of the great Pulse writers for participating in the Draft, too. I had a ton of fun organizing the project, so let’s hope we’ll see a 2010 edition in the future.

Meanwhile, expect some more DVD reviews from me in upcoming weeks, including a few old CHIKARA shows and maybe even some newer Pro Wrestling Guerrilla stuff. Also, keep your eyes peeled on the return of the “CHIKARA Chronicles” for 2010.
