Details on the WWE’s Hart Dynasty DVD Release

Officially titled, Hart and Soul: The Hart Family Anthology, it will be a three-disc set loaded with stories and matches.

An early official blurb about the set reads, “Clan Patriarch Stu Hart trained and toughened a generation of future superstars, including sons Owen Hart and WWE Hall of Famer Bret “Hit Man” Hart. The Hart family legacy continues to thrive in WWE with third-generation stars Natalya Neidhart and DH Smith. Now for the first time ever on DVD, fans can learn the storied history of the Hart family and Stampede Wrestling in Hart and Soul: The Hart Family Anthology. This 3-DVD set is packed with a revealing documentary tracing the Hart family history, as well as matches featuring all the members of the Hart family.”

So what matches do you think should be included with the release? From Stampede, how about some Bret Hart vs. Bad News Allen, Owen Hart vs. Johnny Smith, Dynamite Kid vs. any combination of Bret Hart, Davey Boy Smith or The Cobra?

I’d like to see Bret Hart and Owen Hart vs. Rick and Scott Steiner (from 01/11/94 – appears on CHV’s Wrestlefest 1994) get some DVD love as well as British Bulldog and Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart (Raw: 11/7/94).

Back in May of last year, Scott Keith did a countdown of Owen Hart’s 10 Greatest matches. Some of those would be worthy of consideration, though WWE would be double-dipping on several matches. But you really need to have Owen Hart vs. Bret Hart from WrestleMania X.

And I could see something like the eight-man survivor series tag from Survivor Series 1993 which saw Bret, Owen, Keith and Bruce Hart vs. Shawn Michaels (replacing Jerry Lawler) and his Knights, or the 10-man tag from Canadian Stampede, even though it is on the Brian Pillman: Loose Cannon DVD release.
