The current plan for TNA Genesis is for Abyss to attack Bobby Lashley prior to their planned match. Lashley will then refuse to go ahead with the match and Abyss will instead face the debuting… Ken Anderson.
Lashley is still scheduled to fight for Strikeforce on 30th January and so was not likely to put that show in danger by wrestling so soon before it.
Also, the X Division match tonight will see Amazing Red wrestle the debuting… Brian Kendrick.
The show will also use a four-sided ring since Hulk Hogan decided to get rid of the six-sided one.
