The New York Post is reporting that Simon Cowell rejected $100 million to stay with Fox’s American Idol as he continues to plan for The X-Factor. It is reported that he is close to inking Tommy Mottola as a judge on the new show which is rumored to debut in 2011.
Cowell insists that American Idol will go on without him.
“We are sure that Idol will continue successfully,” he said.
