NFL Playoffs Round 3 Preview

AFC

NY Jets Vs. Indianpolis Colts

Yes the Jets have been on fire lately, but the Colts have been hot almost the whole year, and their defense came off an excellent game where they shut down Ray Rice. The question is can they play that well against the Jets one-two puch of Shonn Greene and Thomas Jones? I think they can. Offensively the Colts are among the best in the game, and although Darrelle Revis will blanket Reggie Wayne most of the game Peyton Manning will find Pierre Garcon, Austin Collie and Dallas Clark without much trouble. I have a feeling this will be another close game for New York and although their defense is dominant so is Peyton Manning. Colts on top.

NFC

New Orleans Saints vs. Minnesota Vikings

The Saints and Vikings will give us one of the most exciting NFC Championships in recent years, but I do not think it will be necessarily a shoot out. Brett Favre is having one of the best season of his career and what better note  to end his  career on after winning another Super Bowl. I think the Vikings have a very good shot at achieving this goal. The Saints also have an excellent chance, with a dominating offense, Reggie Bush coming off what could be the best game in his NFL career, Drew Brees finding receivers at will, and a defense that creates turnovers its hard to argue against the Saints. What this game will come down to is which ever defense plays better and I think the Vikings have a better defense, But if Ray Edwards is not ready to go on sunday Minnesota will be in big trouble. The Vikings defensive line was amazing against the Cowboys, and Ray Edwards had an excellent game recording 3 sacks. If the Vikings defense holds up and the  Sidney Rice/Brett Favre connection plays like they did the Vikings will be going to Miami.
