PWI’s Buck Woodward is reporting that the next showdown between TNA Impact and WWE Raw is scheduled for March 1st 2010, and it will be another live Impact. No news yet on whether it will be a two or three hour show. Over on the WWE side, Cheech and Chong are scheduled to host Raw that night.
I think it’s safe to assume that Vince McMahon will be in full combat mode that night. On January 4th he thought that Bret Hart’s appearance would be enough to keep people away from Impact but the ratings showed a different story. This time around WWE will be on the road to Wrestlemania, and they wouldn’t want to take another hit (even if it’s just to the ego), especially during that time of the year. On the other hand, last time TNA had the advantage of featuring Hulk Hogan’s premiere with the company, together with some other notable names, a card that they will not be able to play in March, unless the rumors about The Honky Tonk Man come true or they can dig up The Bushwhackers.
