The first major reveal of last night’s Lost is that The Man In Black (“The Man”) has been around since the first season. Because he can shapeshift like Sylar on Heroes, he could take any form he wanted causing our heroes to believe him. That means he could have taken the form of Jack’s father (Christian), Hurley’s visions of Charlie, or even pretended to be Ben’s daughter Alex to convince Ben to kill Jacob and to do whatever “John Locke said” (meaning him).
