WWE is trying hard to sign Conan O’Brien to be a guest host of Monday Night Raw.
O’Brien was recently bought out of his contract to host the Tonight Show, and as part of that contract, he cannot host another show until September. WWE believes it can use the “sports” part of sports entertainment as a workaround, portraying O’Brien as a General Manager in a sports-like environment.
It sounds far-fetched, and WWE officials are aware it’s a longshot, but something they would pursue if the conditions lined up.
