TNA used the six-sided ring on their recent UK tour because it had been kept over there in storage since the previous tour. The crowds were largely hot but there was some resentment about the cards being changed. The Manchester show, for example, was advertised around a Ladder Match for the main event. As it turned out, all the ladders in the building, including the one brought to the ring, were one-sided and made of aluminum so they could not be used for the match. By the time people realised this it was too late to go and buy a new one from a store. They covered it up by having A.J. Styles cut a promo on how he refused to participate in such a match.
