Doing a “WWE DVD” search on the Best Buy web site, I came across this listing:

It has a list price of $34.95 and a sale price of $29.99. Release date is slated for May 18, 2010 – two weeks after WrestleMania XXVI comes to DVD and Blu-ray Disc and a week before Backlash 2010 makes its arrival on DVD.
The $34.95 price seems to indicate that the release would be a three-disc compilation of some of the best PPV matches of 2009 (and I guess up through either the Royal Rumble or Elimination Chamber PPVs).
As far as match content goes, we can debate what should be included. I expect the Mysterio/Jericho series will be featured in some capacity as well as the John Cena/Edge match from Backlash 2009, Shelton Benjamin vs. Christian from the inaugural TLC PPV, and the Elimination Chamber matches of 2009, among others.
The compilation is a likely purchase for those WWE fans that don’t buy every single PPV event, but those who buy them all, this release will probably be a waste. But they’ll buy it anyway because they’re completists.
