Antonio Margarito’s rumored involvement on the undercard of Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey was debunked last week when the official undercard was announced. Margarito is having trouble obtaining his boxing license in the United States, stemming from his one-year ban for using illegal handwraps against Shane Mosley.
Top Rank is now mentioning May 8 as a possible return date for Margarito. His appeal for a license in Texas is still pending but the May 8 Top Rank event is scheduled to take place in Margarito’s home country of Mexico.
