Vitali Klitschko Planning 2010 Retirement

News

Vitali Klitschko, 39-2 (37 KOs), plans to retire by the end of 2010. Klitschko will turn 39 in July and is currently in negotiations to fight Nikolai Valuev. Vitali has sworn he will not fight his brother, fellow heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, so his options at heavyweight are slim.

It has long been the brothers’ goal to hold all the heavyweight titles, and only one is currently outside of the family: David Haye’s WBA title. Vitali hinted at just that, stating that he only has one more title to obtain before retiring.
