The second stage of Showtime’s Super Six World Boxing Classic just can’t seem to go off as planned. Last week it was announced that both Mikkel Kessler vs. Carl Froch and Andre Ward vs. Allan Green would be pushed back a week from their April dates. Now it’s being reported that Arthur Abraham and Andre Dirrell will be pushed back from their March 6 date. The two will now fight on March 27.
The date was moved back due to Andre Dirrell suffering a back injury during training.
The fight was scheduled to take place in Rancho Mirage, California but the schedule change could enforce a change of location.
Showtime will continue with a fight card on March 6. Vic Darchinyan vs. Rodrigo Guerrero has been bumped into the main event while Lenny Zappavigna vs. Fernando Angulo while be a part of the televised undercard.
