How Do You Say "Iron Man 2 Scene" in French?

News, Trailers

Those of us impatient for anything Iron Man 2 related now have a new fix, thanks to io9. Writer Graeme McMillan posted a link from MSN France featuring interviews with actors Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansen, and Mickey Rourke, as well as director Jon Favreau and a never-before-seen clip from the upcoming movie. The first half of the video is in English with French subtitles, but the clip itself is in French without any subtitles.

For those of us that don’t have their French to English dictionary handy, commenter Collex posted a quick translation: “he old guy says to Tony Stark that they’ve got no fingerprints, no crimical history, nothing on Whiplash. They don’t know if he speaks English, heck they don’t know if he can speak at all, because he hasn’t said a word yet. Tony Stark ask for five minutes alone with him, which the old guy agree to give him.”

The Pulse: Iron Man has long been a favorite character of mine, and I couldn’t be happier with the way that Favreau and Downey Jr. have brought him to a wider audience. While I do think that Whiplash is an odd choice for villain, the rumors that he will be some kind of hybrid character with The Crimson Dynamo just might make it work, and the introduction of Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer seems like a smart choice. And need I say anything about War Machine or ScarJo as the Black Widow? But, of course, my fanboy flag is flying high with this one, so what do you think?

Iron Man 2 will hit theaters May 7, 2010.
