A “Fans Choose the Stipulation” tag team match with Tyler Black and Roderick Strong facing off against Austin Aries and Kenny King has been signed for ROH’s March 20th show in Mississauga, ON. Two big matches have been signed for the first night of ROH’s Phoenix debut on March 26th. First, El Generico will face off against Steve Corino (click here to read the press release). Also, the Kings of Wrestling have issued an “open challenge” for that night. ROH will reveal their opponents in next week’s Newswire.
Speaking of Castagnoli, he will no longer be facing Mark Briscoe in a Pick 6 Series match at the March 5th-6th set of HDNet tapings, as he and Chris Hero will be overseas. However, ROH has announced a new Pick 6 Series match for that weekend, as Roderick Strong and Kevin Steen will face off on March 6th in Philadelphia.
Austin Aries vs. Petey Williams, in a “Glory By Honor VIII” rematch, has been signed for ROH’s March 19th Dearborn, MI show.
ROH has indicated that an announcement regarding the main event of “The Big Bang!”, the promotion’s big Charlotte, NC debut on April 3rd, is forthcoming, possibly as early as next week.
ROH has extended an open invitation to Ozzie Guillen and “as many of his family and players as he wants to bring” to attend ROH’s Phoenix shows on March 26th and 27th. This is in response to a tweet from Gullen from earlier this week, which indicated that he has had difficulties scoring Wrestlemania tickets. Click here for details.
