The recent depiction of Hulk Hogan on TNA Impact as a fragile old man who should not be wrestling was actually Hogan’s own idea.
The current creative process in TNA is said to be very similar to the WWE style. Before Eric Bischoff was on board the writers had storylines mapped out for several weeks in advance. Now they are constantly changing the direction, even altering matches on the day of PPVs and TV tapings, which leaves the long-term plan up in the air.
