Triple H News: HHH Comments on Shawn Michaels Retirement, Sheamus, Miz

News

HHH did an interview on IGN, here are some highlights:

on HBK retiring before
Well, you know I’ve known Shawn now for sixteen years and I think probably four or five times a year in those sixteen years he’s retired to me personally and said ‘I’ll never do this again

on HBK further
So I find it hard to believe that even if Shawn does lose that he’ll never wrestle again. It’s funny, he seems to have every summer off. I don’t know how that works. But he always seems to have nice vacation time in the summer. But seriously, if this is Shawn’s last match…what a ride, right? I mean I said it on TV a few weeks ago, but he’s the best I’ve ever been in the ring with. He’s the best there’s ever been, you know, from a pure athlete standpoint

on Sheamus, The Miz and Kofi
You know what impresses me about him, from a behind the scenes standpoint, is he’s very passionate about what he does. That’s what impresses me,” Triple H admitted. “When I see a young guy who really wants to know, and is just tirelessly watching his performances over and over again to get better, and asking everybody that he considers to be better than him what he could do more. He’s just a 24/7 ‘I want to get better’ kind of guy and that impresses me. There’s a few guys like that. You know, The Miz is a guy like that. Kofi Kingston’s like that. And to me that the exciting thing about the future for me in the WWE is guys like that, that have that passion. You know, back in the day…I don’t know. There’s a difference sometimes in personalities. It was a very cut-throat business a while ago and everybody was scheming to try and get their spot and you don’t see that now. But you can still see the passion in the guys. And Sheamus is a guy with a ton of it.”
