John Cena will be in a non-WWE film project called Fred: The Movie for Nickelodeon. Cena will play the father of Fred, a popular Youtube character. The movie also stars Jenette Curdy, from iCarly, and Pixie Lott, a British popstar.
Randy Orton filmed his scenes for the WWE movie Big Red between March 15 and 21. He is not the star of the movie so did not have to take much time off the road.
WWE Studios will be shooting movies back-to-back in order to cut costs. Michelle Wilson, Executive Vice President of Marketing, said they are looking to release 7 movies over the next 30 months. Legendary, starring Patricia Clarkson, Danny Glover and John Cena, will get a two-week theatrical run in September and then go straight to DVD. This means they only need to fund one advertising campaign instead of two.
