According to PWInsider, The Briscoes contracts are set to expire in the next two months. There have been discussions of them signing a new deal.
Sources have confirmed that after their WWE tryout several months back, the WWE was strongly interested in signing the independents most decorated tag team. Their contract status prevented this, even after the successful tryout match, much as it did Bryan Danielson several years earlier. With them in talks with ROH, perhaps the WWE lost interest, or maybe Jay and Mark are just hedging their bets. Either way, they’re a big draw on the indies and, if their act were left in tact, could be a breath of fresh air even at the bottom of the WWE tag scene.
