I first interviewed Laura Vandervoort in 2006 on the set of Instant Star, a feel-good teenage drama about a pop idol’s rise to fame after winning an Idol-esque competition. Even four years ago, it was clear that she was destined for greatness and, ironically enough, she too became an instant star.
The blonde Canadian bombshell went on to guest on Smallville as Kara/Supergirl and from there, landed the part of Lisa on ABC and A’s new hit drama V. You could even argue that the show’s title, V, stands for Vandervoort considering the role that she portrays is second in line to the throne, one of the many interesting notes that the actress offered to me in my exclusive interview with her to promote the series.
