Former world champion Cristian Mijares got a split decision win over Francisco Arce in a bantamweight title eliminator last Saturday in Durango, Mexico. Mijares was deducted a point in the 4th round and Arce lost a point in the 12th. The scores were 115-112 and 114-113 for Mijares and 117-114 for Arce.
Mijares defeated Francisco Arce’s brother, Jorge Arce, by unanimous decision in 2007.
