Things are not getting better for Edwin Valero. Bad news came for the undefeated lightweight champion two weeks ago and now there are reports that Valero was involved in a police chase last Friday. Valero was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and fled from the scene of a traffic accident. Valero was recently released from a drug/alcohol rehabilitation facility and scheduled to return for further rehabilitation.
Edwin Valero is no stranger to prolonged absences from the ring and it looks like he’s in store for another one.
