Dancing with the Stars – Episode 10-5 Results Show Review

The results show begins with Chad and Cheryl being safe and Jake and Chelsie are also safe. Len does a recap of the night before and Max and Erin are shown in the confessional puzzling over their low scores. The encore performance selected by the judges is Pam and Damian’s Rumba. Next week is movie night where the couples will dance to songs from iconic movies. They show a fake horror movie trailer with some of the contestants being scared and Bruno at the end of it in a Jason type Friday the Thirteenth mask with sequins on it.

After the commercial break, Sade who is awesome, sings “Babyfather” with Damian and Chelsie dancing.  The next couple saved is Evan and Ana.  We are reminded by Tom for the eightieth time about the voting for Macy’s Design A Dance. Evan and Ana are saved.

The pro dancers talk about how they began dancing as children. There are pictures and video of some of them when they were younger. They describe what it was like in their competition days when they had to share the dance floor with other competitors and there was shoving, pushing, scratching, etc. Tony was even thrown out once for getting into a fight defending his partner. Mark has choreographed a number for five young couples who are the future of Ballroom and it was really enjoyable to watch.

Next up is a corny black and white movie trailer called ChaChablanca featuring Evan and Niecy. After the break is another trailer called Glambo with Tony shirtless and in a headband running around screaming.  These skits are embarrassing. Nicole and Derek are safe. Brook interviews Jake and Chelsie and Nicole and Derek backstage. Nicole said she let her nerves get the best of her. She was crying about that earlier and I don’t how much of that is going to help her  in getting votes. Who wants to see a skinny, gorgeous, talented, performer who is getting 9s in her scores cry about not being perfect?

Next up is a breakdance/ballet combo performance set to cool violin music performed by Nothin But Stringz.  It is choreographed by Travis Wall and was great to watch. More of this and less of the cutesy movie trailer skits please! Sade is back singing her big hit, “The Sweetest Taboo.” Erin and Maks are safe. Yet another movie trailer called “Dance Another Day,” with Chad as “Double O-chocinco” and a clip of Pamela as “Jaymes Blonde.”

The next couple safe is Kate and Tony. Aiden and Edyta and Niecy and Louis are the last two couples remaining. Aiden and Edyta are leaving tonight.  Aiden says he had a great time last night, and he gets a standing ovation. They stroll down memory lane with past clips. He says it was a lot of work but also fun. He feels like he can move his body like he’s never moved it before. He gets choked up talking about Edyta and they dance their last dance.
