Martin Scorsese to Direct First 3-D Movie

Looks like the 3-D craze isn’t going anywhere yet. Hit Fix reports that the great Martin Scorsese’s next film, “The Invention of Hugo Cabret,” will be in 3-D. “The independently financed film will be distributed by Sony Pictures, but Scorsese has no real studio pressure on his creative decisions. Therefore, it’s intriguing that Variety has revealed Scorsese is shooting ‘Cabret’ in 3-D.”

The best news is that “the iconic filmmaker will use 3-D cameras to shoot the picture instead of converting it afterward.”
