TNA Lockdown 2010 Live Results: Ken Anderson vs. Kurt Angle

News

This is escape only, which puts a big focus on the key that Anderson has.

Kurt Angle defeats Ken Kennedy via cage escape. (***).

Angle gets a short shine, but ends up bleeding as Anderson works him over ad nauseum with very few hope spots. There’s a huge focus on the key which ends up in the lock for the majority of the match, meaning there was no point in Anderson winning the ladder match. Eventually Anderson tries to choke Angle out, but an Angle slam stops that. Angle comes back and suddenly has an answer for everything in Anderson’s arsenal while hitting all of his own signature moves. Eventually, they hit the double KO spot and Anderson goes for the door only to get hit with an Angle Slam. Angle closes the door and re-locks it, tossing away victory, then throwing the key to the audience…. and it’s no longer escape only rules. Apparently you can only escape through the door. Kurt then hits a German off the top rope, then a moonsault off the top of the cage, pulls the key out of his pants and almost wins, but Anderson gives him the finger, causing Kurt to come back, take a low blow and the Mic Check. He almost escapes, but gets caught with the Ankle Lock. Anderson reverses and is nearly out, but Angle chokes him with his soldier medal chain, then stomps his dick and walks out of the ring.

Angle could have escaped and didn’t. Angle got the visual pin and didn’t. He got Anderson to tap and didn’t. How in the hell did he do all that and win? This is a huge burial. Angle tells the fans post-match he’ll be taking a hiatus now. Wow. Way to go TNA.

Bloody Wrestler count: 5 – both men bled all over the ring here.
