TNA Impact Taping Results and Spoilers for 4/26, with new Champion Rob Van Dam, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Jeff Hardy and more

News, Spoilers

Hulk Hogan introduces Rob Van Dam. RVD cuts a promo about being champion. This draws AJ Styles and Ric Flair. AJ will have his rematch and Flair talks about his match with Abyss.

If they left out the Flair Abyss stuff, this sounds basically perfect.

Madison Rayne defeats Tara and Angelina Love to defend the Knockouts title. Angelina and Tara brawl afterwards.

Nothing like the title being service in a tertiary feud.

Kaz defended his X-Division Title against Shannon Moore successfully when Morgan beat on Moore, allowing Kaz the win. Samoa Joe attacked Kaz after the match.

Joe came back to be in the X-Division? Fine, if the multi-man matches stop.

AJ Styles and Sting defeat Jeff Hardy and Jeff Jarrett in a falls count anywhere match.

This would likely have been better as a normal match given Sting and Jarrett’s structure and Jeff’s comfort with tags.

The Pope and Ken Anderson cut promos on one another to set up a match at the next PPV. Pope backhands Anderson, so Anderson tries to injure Pope’s already hurt shoulder.

A good, logical, simple start to a new feud.

Matt Morgan and Jesse Neal vs. Team 3-D goes to a no contest when The Band brawls with 3-D. Morgan chokeslams Neal, who calls him back to the ring. Morgan refuses, but is sent out by Hogan where he brawls with Neal, cheating to win until Shannon Moore interferes.

What a giant mess of a segment.

Abyss defeats Ric Flair and gets the Hall of Fame ring. He says he know who he’ll give it to next week.

Time for that Abyss heel turn.
