One of Idol‘s favorite sons, David Archuleta was seen in one of New York City’s hottest gay bars, Club 57 on April 17.
The incident, reported by fan site The David Chronicles, revived gossip that the 19-year-old is gay which would break the hearts of many of his female fans.
Archie took to Twitter to explain himself.
Apparently, the young singer-songwriter came not for the men, but for his friend, pop princess Charice, who performed a remixed version of “Pyramid” at the venue.
He claims he didn’t know the venue was a gay club.
“Mental note to self: always ask where before you go! Wasn’t my kind of place lol, and I had no clue! I guess you live and learn,” he tweeted.
