According to Newsarama, X-Men will get their first #1 since Jim Lee and Chris Clairemont in 1991. The book will be by novelist and Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth scribe Victor Gischler and recent Deadpool artist Paco Medina.
I can see why the new new new direction (in the wake of Manifest Destiny and the recent exile) would get a new renumbering, but this creative team hardly warrants it. The last time X-Men relaunched it was the biggest creators in the business. Even Grant Morrison and Joss Whedon didn’t change that. This just feels off.
