2010 NFL Draft Team Grades- 1st Round

Top Story

Rams: Sam Bradford QB, Oklahoma A
Lions: Ndamukong Suh DT, Nebraska A
Buccaneers: Gerald McCoy DT, Oklahoma A
Redskins: Trent Williams OT, Oklahoma A
Chiefs: Eric Berry S, Tennessee A-

Seahawks: Russell Okung OT, Oklahoma State A+

Seattle gets the most consistent, best pass protecting OT.
Browns: Joe Haden CB, Florida A
Raiders: Rolando McClain MLB, Alabama B+

MLB tend to be taken later, but never the less, McClain will be very good.
Bills: CJ Spiller RB, Clemson B+
Not a need, but probably best available by GM Buddy Nix.
Jaguars: Tyson Alualu DT, California B-
I find it hard to believe that they couldn’t trade out of this spot. He’s still a good player, just not worth number 10.
49ers: Anthony Davis OT, Rutgers B
Really San Fran? Did you really have to trade up for Davis? Work ethic and weight issues could hinder Davis’ development and talent.
Chargers: Ryan Mathews RB, Fresno State B
Chargers might’ve been able to get him a little later, but they probably couldn’t find a trading partner with a better spot.
Eagles: Brandon Graham DE, Michigan A
Seahawks: Earl Thomas S, Texas A
Giants: Jason Pierre-Paul DE, USF B

Boom/Bust. I just don’t trust this pick.
Titans: Derrick Morgan DE, Georgia Tech A+
Huge steal. I hate that my Jags may have to face this guy 2 times a year from now on, knowing they passed on him.
49ers: Mike Iupati OG, Idaho B
Helping run game, San Fran really is going to have a solid o-line next year.
Steelers: Maurkice Pouncey C, Florida B+
Bit of reach, but Pouncey is top C in a weak C class.
Falcons: Sean Weatherspoon OLB, Missouri A
Texans: Kareem Jackson CB, Alabama B+

A little high for Jackson, but was a big need for the Texans.
Bengals: Jermaine Gresham TE, Oklahoma A
Broncos: Demaryius Thomas WR, Georgia Tech B-

Reach, it doesn’t help that Thomas comes from an offense that doesn’t help you at all when you get to the NFL.
Packers: Bryan Bulaga OT, Iowa A+
Huge steal, AND it was best available player. What a great pick there for the Pack.
Cowboys: Dez Bryant WR, Oklahoma State A+
Another huge steal. Bryant should’ve been easily a top 15 pick.
Broncos: Tim Tebow QB, Florida B
Reach, but Tebow will try to prove all of us wrong. We’ll see, stay tuned.
Cardinals: Dan Williams DT, Tennessee A+
Williams belonged in the top 15. What a shame he fell this far.
Patriots: Devin McCourty CB, Rutgers A
Dolphins: Jared Odrick 3-4 DE, Penn State B+

Doesn’t fill a need, but best available pick was a smart choice. He’ll be very good.
Jets: Kyle Wilson CB, Boise State A+
Wilson should’ve been up a bit higher, so this is somewhat of a steal for the Jets.
Lions: Jahvid Best RB, California A-
I don’t think the Lions needed to trade up for Best, but who knows who would’ve gotten the Rams 33rd pick tomorrow.
Colts: Jerry Hughes DE/OLB, TCU A
Saints: Patrick Robinson CB, Florida State B

Too high for Robinson. However, he had been rising somewhat in recent weeks.

I went around the internet and wanted to see how well us mock drafters predicted the first round. This is in no way meant to put down other writers/mockers. It’s just meant to show how we did. I added together how many players had matched up with the right teams, not necessarily at the right pick number because trades happen often.
