A commercial was shot for Syfy to start playing in the summer and push the move of Smackdown to the network in October.
Four names we are aware of that appear in the commercial were Rey Mysterio, Jack Swagger, Kofi Kingston and Cody Rhodes. The commercial was put together yesterday so as of yesterday, all were scheduled for Smackdown in October on Syfy.
Keep in mind this could all change, and WWE can easily change a commercial. One year prior to the draft, all the local arena promoters were told because of the draft they couldn’t advertise anything but two names, John Cena for Smackdown and Batista for Raw because everyone else was in play and those two would definitely not change brands. As it turned out, those two changed brands as well, leaving a lot of local promoters embarrassed with the people they did business with.
At another point, ECW on Syfy had a commercial produced around Evan Bourne, pushing him as the new ECW superstar, because the plan was to build him big at the time. Then the draft came and they sent Bourne to Raw, and the commercial in that case ran for months on Syfy pushing a guy who never appeared on the show.
