Marcos Maidana pulled out of his light welterweight title fight with Tim Bradley scheduled for July 17, citing a back injury. The fight was originally scheduled for June 19 but pushed back as Maidana was having problems with his back.
Timothy Bradley was going to face Luis Carlos Abregu in a welterweight fight before the opportunity with Maidana presented itself. Gary Shaw, Bradley’s promoter, says Bradley will keep the July 17 HBO date and expects to announce an opponent soon for the WBO Light Welterweight champion.
