The San Fransisco 49ers locked up their young stud linebacker Patrick Willis with a 5 year extension today, keeping Willis in town until 2016.
Willis, the 49ers’ 11th overall pick in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft, has led the team in tackles in each of his first three seasons.
Willis will continue to hold down the defense while the team tries to fix the offense that has been mediocre to poor the last few years. Last years first round pick Michael Crabtree and two first round O-Line picks this year has the offense set to step up.
