In Brightest Day, Aquaman has been brought back to life and is fighting slavers with wife Mera at his side. In this issue, while the former Deadman looks on with his white ring, Aquaman summons animals to help his battle, but he’s only able to summon dead animals, just like when he was a black lantern.
