The Houston Texans will start the year without one of their best linebackers as Brian Cushing will be sitting out the first four games after testing positive for steroids.
He was notified of the test at the NFL Combine and appealed the suspension, the decision has come back to not grant an appeal and Cushing will sit out the first four games against the Colts, Redskins, Cowboys and Raiders.
Cushing was selected to the Pro Bowl in his first year with 133 tackles and 4 INTs. Cushing, Demeco Ryans, Amobi Okoye, and Mario Williams form the core of the Texans defense that helped the team to a 9-7 record last season, the francises first winning season.
