Pulse Wrestling’s Live WWE Monday Night Raw Coverage 05.10.2010: John Cena, Flava Flav

News, Reviews, Top Story

It’s the first post-TNA Monday night Raw so I figured I’d celebrate by doing coverage myself! Let’s see if the server holds up with a non-iframe coverage TONIGHT exclusively here on PULSE WRESTLING.

Video montage of what happened last week.

Randy Orton comes out to his music and full entrance. He’s in the ring and he has a MIC. He didn’t accept Edge’s deal so he could control him, but he saw through it. Orton is interupted by piano music, then astonishingly MEATLOAF comes out. He has something in his hand and he is shaking it as he comes to the ring. Meatloaf HAS A MIC. He says “RANDY ORTON” like 10 times. He couldn’t wait to come out – he has a new album coming out tomorrow called “Hang Cool Teddy Bear”. Wow. Meat Loaf has a song written by Bon Jovi on his new album that he thinks should be Randy’s new theme song. Randy suggests that Meat Loaf hums a few bars. Meat Loaf then hands the album cover to Randy. Some music starts and Meat Loaf begins to sing. Is this being played for a joke? Does Meat Loaf know this? He sings another song. He’s in on it. Randy peers at Meat Loaf. Finally an RKO on Meat Loaf. That was 10 minutes!

You Think You Know Me. Edge comes out to his smoky entrance and looks at Randy from the stage. He has a mic. Edge says that the Guest Hosts won’t have booking power anymore. And also that Raw will be getting a permanent General Manager. And he introduces… Vickie Guerrero. Crowd erupts with boos. Lawler and Cole are shocked! She cuts a promo and makes a handicap match of Randy vs Edge and mystery partner for tonight.

Chris Jericho is walking!

Jericho slows it down on the mat for a bit. DH makes a comeback with some shoulder blocks and a belly to belly. Bodyslam for 2. He puts on a sloppy Sharp Shooter to a mild pop. Jericho reaches the bottom rope. Thumb poke to the eye, then a Code Breaker gets the pin. Not much too it, DH still looks green.

So Jericho and Miz get a Unified Tag Title match against the Hart Dynasty in 2 weeks at Over the Limit.

Backstage Edge and Batista have a secretive chat.

Later tonight – John Cena reveals the stipulations for the title match against Dave.

Hour 1 closing with John Cena coming out to a huge pop here in Pittsburgh. You can’t see him, his time is now. He gets a full ring intro. Cena poses in the ring. He has a mic – he first thanks Sheamus, and makes sense of it kinda. Somehow it lead to another match with Batista. Cena says the match at Over the Limit will be their final match for the title. And if Big Dave wins, Cena is GOING ON RECORD to forfeit his rematch clause. He builds up to an “I Quit” match for the title at Over the Limit. He goes back to Sheamus and calls out the “human jar of mayonnaise” to thank him in person. Pause. Sheamus’ music comes out.

Sheamus comes out to the ramp with a mic. He asks Cena if he really wants him to come down there. Cena responds by taking off his shirt – he’ll take his chances. He calls Sheamus to the ring. Sheamus responds that he’s foolish because it will cost him his championship. Sheamus goes to the ring, and Batista enters from behind. Sheamus distracts and Dave spears Cena. 2 on 1 beatdown begins. Dumped to the floor. Batista grabs Cena and runs him back-first into the STEEEEEEEL ringpost. Tossed back into the ring. Sheamus with a huge kick and Cena is out cold. Batista grabs Cena and goes for a Batista Bomb but the crowd erupts. Someone must be running down for the save. It’s… It’s… Mark Henry!? The crowd pops huge and he cleans house on Orton and Sheamus. Henry checks on Cena. Crowd chants “Cena”.

Backstage Vickie is texting and Edge approaches. He found a partner. Edge talks about the last time they were on TV and he said some hateful things. He blames the fans, thinking it would get him fan’s sympathy. They agree to be friends. He wants her to be at ringside for the match tonight. She calls him crazy. Orton creeps her out. Edge guarantees her that nothing will happen to her out there. He offers that she could just fire Orton. She’ll be there.

The Miz vs. Tyson Kidd

This is a non-title match. Miz goes to work early. Kick to the gut. Kidd bounces off the ropes and does a crazy roll up on Miz for the pin in less than a minute.
Winner: Kidd

Apparently any member of the Hart family can face The Miz next week for the US Title. Miz gets on the mic. He said the stipulation was that he got a choose any member of the Hart family to defend the title against. So next week in Toronto, he’s not going to face Kidd or “Baby Bulldog”. He said to Natalya to keep dreamin’ of getting in the ring with him. On the commercial-free Raw in Toronto next week, he chooses to defend against… Bret Hart!

Josh Matthews approaches Dave and asks him about his match later against Mark Henry. Dave would rather talk about the I Quit match.
