Bourn will be suspended for two games, barring a suspension. The two game ban equals that of Rays Catcher Dioneer Navarro for the same act of bumping an umpire.
Bourn thought he beat out an infield single when he was called out by the first base umpire. Bourn threw his helmet off and was ejected from the game. Bourn then started arguing more and made contact with the umpire leading to the suspension. It was a very close play and a pretty minimal bump, but if you touch the ump, you’re going to be suspended.
