Davis is reported looking for a 5-year, $40 million dollar deal with $25 million guarnteed.
Davis would be the second young star the 49ers locked up this offseason after signing LB Patrick Willis to a contract extension last week.
Davis’ rookie contract runs out at the end of this year, so there is some pressure on the 49ers to get a deal done.
Davis made the Pro Bowl last year posting career highs in receptions, 78, yards, 965, and TDs, 13.
