Manny Pacquiao To Return In November

News

Manny Pacquiao will return to the ring in November, according to his chief financial adviser Michael Koncz. Pacquiao will again be fighting at Cowboys Stadium, the site of his March 13 victory over Joshua Clottey. Cowboys Stadium is holding both a November 6 or November 13 date for Pacquiao.

“There is no named opponent yet, but that is certainly when we will fight,” Koncz said.

Earlier this week, Freddie Roach told the Associated Press that negotiations for a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao are soon to restart. Roach trains Pacquiao. Mayweather defeated Shane Mosley on May 1 and a fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather is the biggest fight that could be made in boxing. Antonio Margarito, Pacquiao’s Top Rank stablemate, is also a rumored opponent.

The Dallas Cowboys are on the road on November 7 and November 14. Pacquiao-Clottey drew over 50,000 fans in March in the first fight ever held at the newly built Cowboys Stadium.

Manny Pacquiao is currently awaiting official confirmation on his congressional victory in the Philippines. A congressional seat seems like a lock for Pacman.

Before returning to the ring, Manny wanted to make sure he had the blessing of his mother. Although she doesn’t want to see her son fight any longer, she obliged Manny for one more fight.
