NFL News: New York Giants and New York Jets Embrace Weather In Superbowl Bid

News

The Jets and Giants have put out a joint bid to host the Superbowl in their new stadium that oppened last season, officials for both teams say while the weather may be cold, it’s no reason to reject the bid.

Giants QB Eli Manning would love to see a colder climate city host a Superbowl, “It gets back to playing football, it’s old school” said Manning. Manning led the Giants to the Superbowl in 2007, winning the NFC Championship in Green Bay.

The teams announced the bid Wednesday on a cold, rainy day. Team officials and players were in attendence and supported the bid, hoping they could back the bid up with a Giants vs Jets Superbowl.
