The Kryptonians go to war! Read the review of #1 here.

Summary: In this issue, Superman finds out how New Kypton blew up and he and Supergirl try and save lives as Zod’s army attacks the Mars base. This leads Zod to send half the army to Earth. General Lane and his daughter kidnap Lois Lane, while the heroes (Nightwing, Superboy, Krypto, Jimmy Olsen and Steel try and rescue Natasha Irons (we get to the point of them standing outside the base). Lex Luthor is creating an artificial Kryptonian god for Lane, as well, for which he gets Lexcorp. At the end of the issue, General Lane sets off a red sun bomb on Mars, robbing the Supermen of their powers.

Thoughts: Nothing happened in this issue except moving some pieces around the board. I know this is a second issue, but it’s paid for individually and there was simply not enough going on here to warrant paying for. The plot wasn’t even moved as absolutely everything in this issue is foreshadowing. It’d be fine were this just a trade, but it isn’t and it’s a poor piece of work for it.

Rating: 2/10 – Terrible, a waste of money. The only reason it isn’t a one is on the off chance this all pays off phenomenally.
