10 Thoughts on WWE Raw feat. Bret Hart, Edge, The Miz and John Cena

Features, Reviews, Top Story

Tonight we will feature the American hero Buzz Aldrin and the Canadian hero Bret Hart! I would love to encourage you all the check out my blog, where I have a few thoughts on TNA booking and many WWE issues. It’s at itswilltime.wordpress.com.

1. Jericho should go ahead and steal “The best the is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.” all he would have to add to it is “the best in the world at what I do.”

2. Holy crap! Edge vs Christian on free TV. Good match, disappointing that they aren’t feuding. By the way, couldn’t they have announced that Smackdown would be on hand for this special show?

3. And Vickie is gone. Does that mean that guest hosts have power after all? Or are they just figureheads for the board of directors? Maybe they should just try to book a wrestling show without the constant presence of an authority figure? That would be revolutionary.

4. Does Virgil have a son that Ted Dibiase could boss around? I’m guessing that Virgil’s too old to be on the road all the time.

5. So let me get this straight, Vince McMahon put a championship on Bret Hart in Canada when he isn’t under a contract. Is this the opposite of Montreal?

6. John Cena actually used the term Cenation. Not okay. It was fine the have it on his t-shirts, but now it’s just silly.

7. Being picked by Edge to face Randy Orton makes Swagger look major league. They had a PPV quality match with the right finish. Neither man should be losing right now.

8. Why do they keep picking American heroes for Canadian guest hosts? You would think that WWE would pander a little bit more to the Canadian fans (although the rest of the night has been pretty pander-ish).

9. Have guest hosts really been downgraded so far that they get Zach Ryder instead of Chris Jericho? Wow.

10. I wish we would have gotten a promo from Batista on this show, but him ending the evening with a submission hold on Cena worked well too.

All in all, a great episode of Raw. They had some nice long matches and sold the pay per view well. Next week should be eventful coming off of Over The Limit.
