NFL News: Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson Told To Continue Holdout By All-Time Great Marshall Faulk

The former All-Pro and current NFL Network analysis thinks Johnson is doing the right thing.

Johnson has 3 years left on the $12 million contract he signed in 2008 that featured $7 million guaranteed. But his base salary doesn’t even put him close to being one of the best paid players on the Titans. Johnson is due only $550,000 for 2010.

Faulk told a newspaper in Nashville that Johnson has to use his leverage while he still has it. Johnson rushed for over 2000 yards last season, finishing almost 600 yards ahead of the next closest back. He also set the single-season record for yards from scrimmage with 2,509, topping Faulk’s mark of 2,429 set in 1999.
