Howard was called for a flagrant foul after swinging an elbow at the head of Boston’s Paul Pierce.
Pierce went to the ground in pain, but both players stayed in the game.
The league reviews all flagrant fouls and determines if a suspension is needed, but they decided in the this case with Howard’s record, a suspensions was not needed.
