The UFC announced two fights for the upcoming Ultimate Fighter 11 finale set to take place on June 19. Chris Leben will fight Aaron Simpson and Spencer Fisher will take on Dennis Siver. Both fights will air on the televised portion of the show set to air on Spike TV.
Leben (19-6) last fought in January when he defeated Jay Silva by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 20. Prior to his win over Silva, Leben lost to straight fights to Jake Rosholt at UFC 102 and Michael Bisping at UFC 89. He missed time between his two losses due to a suspension from testing positive for steroids after the Bisping fight.
Simpson (7-0) has won all three of his fights for the UFC, including his most recent win against Tom Lawlor via split decision which won Fight of the Night honors at UFC Fight Night 20 in January. Neither fighter is in title contention in the middleweight division, but a win would help either man.
Fisher (23-5) is coming off a loss to Joe Stevenson at UFC 104 last October. Prior to the loss, Fisher had won three straight fights over Jeremy Stephens, Shannon Gugerty, and Caol Uno.
Siver (15-7) is in a similar position as Fisher. Siver lost his last fight to Ross Pearson after winning his previous three fights over Nate Mohr, Dale Hartt, and Paul Kelly.
In addition to these fights and the finale of The Ultimate Fighter program, the night will also feature a light-heavyweight bout between Keith Jardine and Matt Hamill.
