WWE is keeping Batista’s contractual status a secret. The original idea for Over The Limit was for his match with John Cena to be Loser Leaves Town. This was changed in part because TNA ran the same stipulation for Tara vs Madison Rayne at their Sacrifice PPV. The main reason for the change, however, was that many believe Batista will return in the near future, if he even leaves at all, so they did not want to have to explain away the stipulation of their own PPV main event.
